Sirdal Ski Trip

Sirdal ski area is located about 1.5 hours east of Stavanger.  This is the end of the road during the winter, as snow completely blocks the narrow summer road that leads over the mountains toward Oslo.

 

We picked a bad weekend for skiing, since warm weather had left a terrible crust.  Naturally as soon as Barb and Katherine returned to Aberdeen one of the biggest snowstorms in years dumped a couple of feet of wonderful snow everywhere.  Oh well.  It was a nice introduction to Norway for Barb and Katherine.
